Here below are my father’s details whilst stationed at Phan Rang Air Base, Vietnam.
Please can you possibly tell me of any stories at and around the air base, whilst you or your family were there during these dates?
I’d very much like to see some photographs taken during this time, if you have any please. Might you or any fellow serviceman and women have worked with my father, are there any photographs of the supply team and of the offices and buildings, if so it would be fantastic if I could spot my father in a photograph?
I expect my father was older than most of you out in Vietnam.
My father was also a Master Loader.

My father, prior to and after Vietnam...
1943 ~ My father enlisted and served in the US Army during WW2 across numerous battlefields throughout France, Germany and Austria. 1949, my father transferred over to the US Air Force, until 1973. To then work for the US government for the Navy San Francisco, to retire in 1995 after 50 years in the military.

My father was affected slightly by agent orange, in his old age.

2018, 13th Dec. ~ I had just arrived in Thailand, to stay with my son Edd, who actually works in Cambodia, Vietnam, China, the Philippines, and now South Korea all year round.
Very sadly the day after I arrived at Edd's, my lovely father passed away, quietly in his sleep on the morning of Dec. 14th. Somehow I feel I was meant to be with my son during this extremely sad time. Edd and I had planned to visit Hanoi the following week, which we still did. Edd has been to and stayed in Hanoi many times with his job in engineering.
We visited the military museums, also the battle zones ~ I’ll call them. We learnt a great deal about the war, and we were so very sorry to see and learn of the devastating things that went on during the war. I certainly wish I could turn back time, to undo so many atrocities. You’re ‘all’ very often in our thoughts.
Please do get in touch even if it's a tiny piece of information, as I'd really like to hear a good number of the stories from you all, especially to learn in more detail about Phan Rang, whilst everyone was out there.
